  • Panzer II ausf C Light Tank
  • Panzer 38(t) Light Tank

Or maybe a tank is more your style?  Have we got the kits for you!

2072_T34_coverLThe T-34/76 was Russia’s secret weapon, completely stunning the German High Command. Not only was the T-34 able to withstand almost anything the Germans could throw at it, but its 76mm gun could easily knock out both Panzer IIIs and IVs, then the heaviest tanks in the German arsenal.

Or perhaps something a little… bigger?IS-2
A direct descendant of the KV-1 heavy tank program, the IS-2 was the Russian answer to the German beasts.  It’s frontal armor was thick enough to withstand hits from Tigers and Panthers.  It’s own gun would obliterate the enemy, commonly operating at combat ranges of 1000 yards.  When armed with powerful high-explosive shells it would easily knock out infantry and fortifications.

This week only, save 10% off the T-55 MBT!  Read beyond the jump for more info on the awesome Soviet Tank.

The T-54 and T-55 tanks are a series of Soviet main battle tanks introduced just as the Second World War ended. The first T-54 prototype appeared in March 1945 and entered full production in 1947. It became the main tank for armoured units of the Soviet Army, armies of the Warsaw Pact countries, and many others. T-54s and T-55s were involved in many of the world’s armed conflicts during the late 20th century.  The T-54/55 series eventually became one of the most-produced tank in military history. Estimated production numbers for the series range from 86,000 to 100,000. They were replaced by the T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80, and T-90 in the Soviet and Russian armies, but remain in use by up to 50 other armies worldwide, some having received sophisticated retrofitting.  During the Cold War, Soviet tanks never directly faced their NATO adversaries in Europe. However, the T-54/55’s first appearance in the West in the 1950s spurred the United Kingdom to develop a new tank gun, the Royal Ordnance L7, and the United States to develop the M60 Patton Main Battle Tank.

The T-55 has the following features:

  • Russian Tanker minifig
  • Cape Madness Soviet Flag
  • Includes 536 LEGO®, BrickArms® and Cape Madness elements
  • 1/35 scale matches other Brickmania models
  • The over-all color scheme of this model is dark gray
  • Intermediate Skill Level (4-6 years experience with LEGO is recommended)

About the Panzer III

Designed to be Germany’s tanks for fighting other tanks, the Panzer III saw it’s successful battlefield debut during the invasion of Poland. It proved to be a reliable and wining design and was continually upgraded and refined throughout the war. The Panzer III’s hull and chassis was also used to create the highly successful series of low-profile StuG III aussault guns and tank destroyers.

The Panzer III is one of Brickmania’s most popular kits and we are constantly making upgrades and improvements. This edition incorporates a lot of upgrades over the previously more austere version. There are lots of nice “extra” features such the new 1.5 wide Brickmania Track Links, a BrickArms MG-34 on the anti-aircraft mount (in addition to the one in the hull), accessible interior spaces (upper and lower hull sections separate to reveal the interior), and more.

M4A2 Restock

The Brickmania team have completed another batch of the M4A2 Sherman kits just in time for Pacific Month. Buy now at 10% off the MSRP through August 31st or while supplies last. Buy it with the IJA Coastal Defense Battery and get free shipping to select destinations*

About the M4A2 Sherman

The M4A2 was a diesel powered variant of the famous M4 Sherman tank, used exclusively by the US Marines during World War II. Armed with a 75mm cannon, the Sherman was the ideal close-up fire support platform, as the Marines dug out entrenched defenders in their island-hopping campaign towards victory against Japan. The US Marines fitted their Sherman tanks with removable fording kits for the amphibious landings that each island assault would require. In this case we have fitted the M4A2 with the unique drum-style fording kits used in the US Marines’ 3rd Tank Battalion. Also included in the kit is a complete set of stickers based on tanks from the Iwo Jima and Tarawa campaigns, allowing you to customize the look of your kit.

Additional information about this Brickmania custom Lego® kit:

The US Marines’ M4A2 Medium Tank kit has the following features:

  • Fully articulated double-wide Brickmania Track Links™ treads
  • Three opening crew hatches on turret and hull
  • Fully rotating turret with posable main gun
  • Optional fording trunks
  • Custom-printed WW2 US Marine minifig
  • Custom sticker set
  • Sturdy construction for active play
  • 1/35 scale to match other Brickmania models.
  • Includes 575 genuine new-condition LEGO, Brickmania and BrickArms elements
  • Intermediate Skill Level (4-6 years experience with LEGO is recommended)

All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition elements from LEGO, BrickArms and Brickmania. This model comes disassembled, includes complete printed building instructions, and comes packaged in a sealed box. This is a limited edition kit and production may be discontinued at any time.

They Fought To Liberate and To End Conquest: Marking the 74th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion

$
0
0

One of the climatic scenes of the Second World War, the D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944 is still remembered today for the bravery and heavy sacrifice by American, British, and Canadian troops. Both in the air and on the ground, men struggled to wrestle Western Europe away from the grip of Nazism. A logistical phenomenon, the invasion coordinated thousands of warships, planes, landing craft, and men to storm the beaches of Normandy.

This year marks the 74th anniversary of this historic event. The generation that fought the war is fading away. It is our obligation to preserve the memory of this momentous episode for future generations. By remembering those who gave their lives to defeat tyranny and oppression, we are reminded that liberty often comes at a great price.

“They fight not for the lust of conquest. They fight to end conquest. They fight to liberate.”

– President Franklin D. Roosevelt, radio broadcast, June 6, 1944
