We’re finishing up the new batch today! All orders for this kit placed Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday, December 16th (and should arrive at US destinations before Christmas, weather delays notwithstanding).

Due to parts scarcity, we’re ending production of the M3A2 Halftrack with one final batch. On the positive side we’re including the new BrickArms M2HB machine gun and a custom pad-printed US Armored Infantry officer minifig. Click either image for more information or to order.

Another classic Brickmania kit has been updated with the addition of the new Brickmania Track Links! While we were at it, we also gave the Chaffee the correct secondary weapon in the form of the BrickArms M2HB. But we could’t stop there, and are now including one of Brickmania’s exclusive custom-printed US Tanker minifigs!  This kit is based on the original M24 Chaffee “Durabuilder” kit, so it’s sturdy model for active play, as well as a being fine-looking rendition of this classic American tank. The M24 Chaffee has been one of our most popular kits for the past couple of years. These new updates ensure it will remain the perfect entry point into Brickmania’s custom tank kits for years to come.

We pulled this one out of production last month so we could give it an upgrade as soon as the Brickmania Track Links were ready. That time is now and we’ve done more than just change the tracks: Brickmania’s M4 Sherman kit now include a BrickArms M2HB and custom printed US Tanker mini fig!  This is the best Sherman kit we’ve put together for the price, and there’s still plenty of room to add your own details if you like.

NEW RELEASE: Schwimmwagen Amphibious 4×4 Utility Car

Brickmania is pleased to announce the release of the Schwimmwagen, Germany’s famous amphibious 4×4 utility car from World War II. This is designed to be an entry level kit, but with some nice features like fold-down windscreen and retractable swimming prop. It also includes one custom printed German soldier with a BrickArms C96 pistol for self defense.

We have just completed another batch of the M24 Chaffee Light Tank. This improved version is based on the original “Durabuilder” M24 kit, so the construction is extra sturdy for play activity. The new version has a more refined hull shape, Brickmania Track Links™, BrickArms M2HB machine gun and now includes a custom-printed US Tanker minifig. This kit ranks with the Jeep and the Humvee has being the most popular Brickmania kits of all time and they still sell faster then we can make ‘em!

Brickmania’s design team has been working overtime in preparation for upcoming Battle of the Bulge theme kits. Here are a few pictures of the re-worked M3A2 Halftrack—in need of revision after parts shortages halted production of the previous edition. We don’t yet have confirmation that this will become a production model, but we’re liking what we’re seeing so far. Note there are nine figs shown in the model!

We are wrapping up assembly on the second batch of Panzer IV/L70 tank destroyers today. The complex camouflage pattern in this kit requires the use of some rare pieces and we’ve exhausted our supply.  The first 50 kits sold out in less than three weeks and this one will likely sell out fast too.

Brickmania is pleased to announce the release of two new Sherman tank kits. First let’s start with the M4 Sherman kit, now redesigned to take full advantage of the new double-wide Brickmania Track Links™, printed tiles and other key improvements over last year’s model. The best part is we were able to make these improvements without raising the price by a single penny!

This new Sherman design looks meaner than its predecessor and has cool features like three opening hatches, tank commander minifig, printed US star tiles, M2HB from BrickArms and fully posable main gun.

LIMITED EDITION VARIANT KIT!

We have teamed up with our comrades at Brickstuff to offer a M4(105) Assault Sherman kit that includes awesome lighting effects. Not only do you get all the parts to make this important Sherman variant, but it also has illuminating headlights and tail lights, plus realistic flashing hull machine gun and main gun powered by a Brickstuff Light Effects controller. Best of all, the variant is based on the M4 Sherman kit, for which we also include the instructions. Build the M4 for practice, then rebuild it as the M4(105) with light effects!

Brickstuff makes the best after-market lighting kits we’ve come across and it’s what we use for our museum displays. Due to their fragile nature this kit is more difficult to assemble and is not recommended for every day play. The kit includes a lead to connect to a 9v battery (not included) that will fit inside the model. However, if you intended to keep your model displayed for long periods of time, we recommend using an external power source such as the Brickstuff to Powerfunctions or Brickstuff to USB adaptor (we will soon have a complete line of Brickstuff products available to order directly from our web store).

We have only made 30 of these special  M4(105) variant kits and expect them to sell quickly.

Limited Edition SdKfz 250 with 5.cm Pak 38 “Pakwagen”

The SdKfz 250 was a light armored troop-carrying halftrack used by Germany during World War II. Its angular shape was similar in appearance to the larger SdKfz 251 “Hanomag” halftrack. This smaller vehicle was used in roles where there was no need for a larger halftrack, such as scouting, forward artillery observers, headquarters, communications, etc. One of the special variants mounted the 5cm Pak 38 anti-tank gun, making a small and effective mobile tank destroyer. This is based on a spacial lengthened version of the “Neu”hull, which had a greatly simplified open top crew compartment and single entry door at the rear of the vehicl. The Sdkfz was one of the main armored half track vehicles used by Germany during the war, with over 6500 built in numerousconfiguration.

BrickArms ModCom Build

ModCom

Every Weekend Pass holder at World War Brick Anaheim will have a chance to create (and keep) a special BrickArms ModCom weapon! Will Chapman will personally lead this activity and there is no extra cost. You will have to sign up for one of four ModCom sessions to participate. Limit one ModCom per Weekend Pass holder.

Micro Tank Battle Tournament

We are holding a bracket style tournament of the fast-paced table top Micro Tank Battle game. Matches will be take between 30-45 minutes and winners of each battle will be eligible to advance to the next battle. As the battle progresses, new weapons will be introduced for an added twist. Tournament participation limited to Weekend Pass holders.

Robotic Tank Tournament!

We will be holding a points-based competition using a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robotics system. Each player or team will control a robot that will complete a series of tasks with double points for each task completed autonomously (i.e. without remote control). We encourage participants to bring their own Robot Tank, but will have 2-3 robots available. Tournament map will be available for practice during any Open Game Play session on the schedule.

The M26 Pershing was produced for American forces in response to heavy German tanks encountered in Western Europe towards the end of World War II.  While it barely arrived in time to see action, the M26 proved itself more than capable at standing toe-to-toe with the Tigers and Panthers, a task not suitable for the earlier M4 Sherman medium tanks. The M26 soldiered on into the Korean War, where it again proved itself deadly against the Soviet-built armor of the Communist forces. Lessons learned from the M26 directly lead to the development of the M46/M47/M48 Patton series of Main Battle Tanks

IS-2

The Soviet Union’s answer to the Tiger and Panther came in the form of the IS-2 Heavy Tank. With a a massive 122mm main gun, the IS-2 was the most powerful tank fielded by any army during World War II. Brickmania will be releasing a limited run of “Black Box” edition IS-2 kits in February.

The British are coming!  Continuing with out North Africa Campaign theme, Brickmania will be issuing new tropical British & Commonwealth troops. Look for them in upcoming kits, plus limited opportunities to purchase extra figures to fill out your ranks!
